- Or perhaps they are slow because you have a dog-slow CPU. MPEG provides
- good compression and can be used with low bandwidth input streams, in
- exchange for which it needs a fair amount of CPU power to play. My
- 68040 is downright marginal. A 68060/50 may be tolerable, but still not
- in the P133 class. A 68030 is just not going to cut it here.
